Small Town

Streetlights are blinding
It’s like sand in my eyes
If you would ask me to stay, I’d probably be quiet
These streets are grey, I always walk here alone
The first thing I’d say to you would be no

There’s been too much rain
I’m afraid to face the light
still I wanna be here, this spot, the only one in his sight
The sand in my eyes paint tears on me through the dim lights
Can I give myself to him and keep a wide open mind?

Small town you know me
Small town your arms have grown too safe for me
Small town forgive me I should leave
before you go and catch me
before you go there and catch me
before you go there and catch me

Awake at the dawn
I’ve seen your clearest sky
the longest of winters, the fear in his smile
I’ve been through sorrows, I’ve searched for new friends
I can’t go further, leaving now is what make sense

Small town you know me
Small town your arms have grown too safe for me
Small town forgive me I should leave
before you go and catch me
before you go there and catch me
Before he go and catch me
before you go there and catch me

Small town you know me
Small town your arms have grown too safe for me
Small town forgive me I should leave
before you go and catch me
before you go there and catch me
Before you go and catch me
before you go there and catch me
